This Privacy Policy explains how DentaHub (the “Service”, the DentaHub Patient mobile app and the dentahub.clinic web portal) collects, uses, stores and protects your information. DentaHub is a clinic-management platform operated for and on behalf of the dental clinic(s) that invite you as a patient (each, your “Clinic”). Your Clinic is the controller of your clinical data; DentaHub processes it on the Clinic’s behalf.
1. Information we collect
- Account & identity: name, email address, phone number, and the password you use to sign in.
- Profile: address and contact details you provide or your Clinic records.
- Technical: minimal data needed to operate the app (authentication tokens, error/diagnostic logs). We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not sell your data.
2. How we use it
- To let you sign in, book and manage appointments, and view your invoices, prescriptions and treatment plans.
- To enable your Clinic to provide dental care, billing and appointment reminders.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal/regulatory obligations.
3. Legal basis & sharing
We process your data to deliver the Service you request and for your Clinic’s legitimate provision of care. We share data only with: your Clinic and its authorised staff; and infrastructure providers (secure hosting) strictly to run the Service. We never sell personal or health data, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Data security
- All traffic between the app/portal and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes; we never store them in plain text.
- On your device, authentication tokens are kept in the platform’s secure storage (Android Keystore).
- Access is restricted by role and by clinic (multi-tenant isolation).
5. Data retention
Account information is kept while your account is active. Clinical/medical records are retained by your Clinic for the period required by applicable medical-record and tax laws, even after you delete your app account.
6. Deleting your account & data
You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: open My profile → Danger zone → Delete my account.
- On the web: sign in at dentahub.clinic, open My profile → Delete my account.
- By request: email privacy@dentahub.clinic.
Deleting your account permanently disables your login and ends all sessions. Clinical records held by your Clinic are retained as described in Section 5; to request erasure of those (subject to legal retention rules), contact your Clinic or email us at the address above.
7. Children
The app is intended for use by adult patients or by a parent/guardian on a minor’s behalf. It is not directed at children for independent use.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
